The history of Dr. Elizabeth Renfro's transition from regular civilian to Manticore personnel is hidden within the classified files that were destroyed in the fire at the Manticore facility outside of Seattle. Searches in civilian databases will yeild no information just as interrogations of her closest subjects and contacts will result in catigorical denial of her existance.
What is known is that she spent years overseeing many Manticore projects, and was present during the recapture of four 2009 X5 escapees and two of their subsequent deaths. She began experimentation on the recaptured X5-656 after it was found that X5-656's genetically enhanced DNA was passed on to X5-656's son. Some sources hint that she was using these tests to create a serum to extend her own life.
Before Manticore's destruction and her own demise, Dr. Elizabeth Renfro was known to have started extensive research into the Breeding program, pairing up X5 soldiers with the hopes of progeny that would defy Manticore's best geneticists work. She was also known to have had ties to a secret breeding cult whose members are known as Familiars.
She was accidentally shot by Manticore security while confronting X5-452 on the night of the Seattle facilities demise.
